As I read this informative book, I learned about how postal payroll system. This same system also just to be used on not just postal workers but also on other jobs such as business drivers, fireman, law enforcement, teachers and other city and county employees. It is even used the the military as well. I like how the author discusses the Four-In-The-Box system because it seems like the most interesting payroll system I ever heard about. I think that this book should be required reading for those who are in law school students who is taking a course in business law and for anyone who is interested in learning about different payroll systems.

The Problem US Postal workers faced was to understand their payroll system which was very complicated when Larry Pinson Sr. joined the department. It took him several years to understand and develop the C.H.A.P.P.S. system. Most of the staff and even some managers could not understand the earlier payroll system, which was very complicated to understand and explain it. Hats off to the author, Larry Pinson, who thought about its complicacy and tried his best to make a simple solution. This book would be very helpful to all those people who would like to update their payroll system.

The United States postal payroll system for many years was rather complex and out of date; therefore, Pinson took a proactive, more modern approach and created C.H.A.P.P.S. The new, simplified guide offers managers and employees a comprehensive, yet easy-to-understand guide that has greatly helped in reducing layoffs, frustration, and has saved an immeasurable amount of time. This payroll system can definitely be used in other areas of employment, not just the post office. The book is a short read and very easy to understand.
