About Salary CHAPPS
Salary CHAPPS generally refers to supervisors or employees who are not part of a union or bargaining unit. These employees do not receive carry-on time pay, as they are treated similarly to salaried personnel.
How It Works
The pay system for salary CHAPPS is the same as the military CHAPPS pay system. However, regardless of the employee's actual work location, their pay is determined based on tour 1. This means that even if they are not working in tour 1, their pay location remains tour 1 for the purpose of compensation. This system ensures a consistent pay structure for salary employees, as it aligns with the broader CHAPPS pay system.
It is important to note that the non-bargaining CHAPPS and the salary CHAPPS pay system operate similarly to the military CHAPPS pay system. However, employees are only paid from tour 1, even if they are not working in their tour, as their pay location remains tour 1.
